New Laigh Kirk is delighted to announce our first ever photography competition, in collaboration with local sponsors - HALO, Brownings the Bakers, Karen Simpson Photography and Scotmid Coop. We are looking for photographs which show the theme of Creation - this can be interpreted in any way that the photographer chooses. As an Eco-Congregation Scotland church, we are committed to doing our best to promote and action environmental sustainability . Eco-Congregation is an ecumenical programme helping churches make the link between environmental issues and Christian faith, to respond in practical action in the church, in the lives of individuals, and in the local and global community. 

 

By participating in our photography competition, we are hoping the local Kilmarnock community can take some time to enjoy the world around us and celebrate a sustainable and eco friendly approach to addressing climate change within your own home, community and within the town.

 

This is open to all amateur photographers who live in the Kilmarnock area, are aged from S1 onwards or who are undertaking a digital photography course at Ayrshire College.

 

Entry is easy - please use the form below to submit up to two photographs. 12  photographs will be selected for a NLK calendar for 2027. Prizes are available for those the judging panel view winners from each category. Full terms and conditions are also on the website. Good Luck!
